InstaWeek

Bryan and I got iPhones a week and a half ago. Since I received said iPhone, I downloaded the Instagram app and have been somewhat addicted.

I thought I would do a weekly recap of the week's worth of photos. We'll see how long that lasts. Until then, here's last week...

Breakfast of champions. Leftover taco pizza.

Dinner at my parent's house in honor of September birthdays. It was almost like Christmas dinner.

My mug and my favorite dish at Bosco's.

Tigger is in this phase in which he's obsessed with wanting to go outside.

I had a lunch date with a Twitter friend and when I got back to my car I saw someone had broken in and left me something.

Here are the flowers in my office at work.

One had fully opened the next day at work.

Okra!

A Mamie Taylor at the Majestic. I love their patio in nice weather.

A different sausage and cheese plate.

Lunch on the patio.

The first fire of fall!

Porch reflextions

A few months ago Bryan and I realized that we had become one of those couples that is constantly busy. Not busy enough to turn down gatherings, but busy enough that we don't have much down time. This particular last week was a busy one. Neighborhood board meetings, new community groups, lunches with new friends, fall planting seminars, etc.

It's important to me that we remember to slow down and enjoy this life we are given. I think that's what I like about our outdoor space so much. Besides occasionally reminding me of unfinished projects, it is a quiet, relaxing space in which we sit down, rock or bounce in chairs, and spend quality time together.

Rock for Love

This year the Rock for Love festival involved a block party at Overton Square. We arrived for a late lunch and stayed all afternoon.

Eat grilled cheese on the curb.

Some old band that got back together recently.

The Memphis Dawls

We had good intentions to attend the shows Saturday night at the HiTone, but we were having too much fun at the house with family.

Rock for Love ended Sunday night with an amazing show by Booker T and the MGs at the Shell. I proceeded to add and then cross off my Memphis To-Do list to hear Booker T play Green Onions live. It was awesome.

Cochon Heritage Weekend

Labor Day weekend we attended several events with the Cochon Heritage BBQ Festival. It was one of the best weekends of our lives.

I wrote a blog post on Lolling About here.

Here's a few more photos:
