We haven't been up to anything too specific... no big events or anything, but I thought I'd give an update with the latest pictures.
I organized the junk drawer. And got a little OCD.
Motley has been enjoying being outside a little bit. I let her out in the back yard when I work in the garden.
Bryan took this and I like it.
Sunset on Madison. We have enjoyed watching the Square and Madison Avenue come alive.
Oh yeah, the first round of playoffs have started. Bryan made sure our house was feeling the spirit as well.
We submitted a photo into a contest to win Game 4 tickets. I'm still hoping we win... the tickets and games 3 and 4.

5th Anniversary
Somehow it's been 5 years since we've walked down the aisle. I cannot believe it. Seriously. It feels like its been maybe 2-3 years. Tops. How has it already been 5 years?
To celebrate this year we kept it pretty low key. No presents. We are going to the beach next week and kind of consider it a gift to the both of us. That didn't stop us from having some stellar meals though.
Bryan picked me up at work and took me to Owen Brennan's for lunch. We had been there for various brunches or luncheons with fixed menus, but never for just a regular meal. I ate far too much bread, but everything was delicious.
I got to leave work a little early to meet with someone for TJNA. That meeting finished early so we went to Bosco's for a beer. It has been a while since we have been able to do our former Friday afternoon tradition. We finished up our beers and went home to change.
We took a few selfies.
Bryan had made reservations at Iris Restaurant! I have only been wanting to go there for, oh the last 5 years!
We were brought this fancy little hushpuppy to start. I think he mentioned something about halibut.
To start I ordered the bone marrow. I had heard good things and wanted to order something out of my comfort zone. It paid off. Big time. One of the most delicious things I've put in my mouth.
Bryan ordered some sort of duck to start but in my excitement over bone marrow I forgot to photograph.
Bryan ordered the veal as his entree.
I ordered the scallops, which were also really wonderful. Bryan later said that I won at ordering.
Bryan did buy me some beautiful lilies as well.
Overall, a great way to celebrate 5 years together. Looking to 5 great more!

Weekly Links
Good morning. Bryan and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary yesterday. If I get around to uploading pictures from the camera I will do a post later today or tomorrow. I will just say, it was the best one yet. For now, here are some links for your ass:
No one is ever going to believe you. A whole compilation of Bill Murray stories!
12 ways to help you eat well and spend less. I want to spend some time going through each of these links. I feel like I do a good job of meal planning, etc, but maybe there is something I am missing.
I followed several new drink blogs, now there are several things I want to make:
Beer-jito!
The Hurricane
Also, today is the first game of the playoffs. Memphis takes on the Flop City Clippers. In honor of that, Our Grindfather, who aren't on Beale. To thine be the grit, the grind, and the glory forever. Amen.

State of the Garden
Lettuce!
I planted two rows of three types of lettuce in February. Last weekend I planted two more rows of each and they have just started sprouting. These are not pictured here.
I had ordered some transplants from seedsavers.org. Some of them are not doing so well now. In fact, I think I've lost at least two. But oh well. The rest are doing okay. This picture was taken right after I unpacked them last Wednesday.
Peas are doing well.
The one bed that looks inhabited. I moved my rosemary bush there as it had outgrown yet another pot. I also planted two new sweet pepper plants and another rosemary plant. It's nice to see plants in the garden.
Carrots. These take a really long time to germinate. I planted them several weeks ago and they are finally showing some progress.
I have a ton of cucumbers, tomatoes, and basil in smaller pots waiting to be transplanted to the garden when ready. Looking forward to seeing the garden get put together.

I know I haven't posted anything else but links in a few weeks. I honestly haven't been up to that much and its been a few weeks since I've uploaded pictures from my camera. I hope do that this weekend at some point so I'm sure once I do I'll have plenty to post about at that point.
Not link related or picture related, but I went to the Lichterman Nature Center plant sale yesterday and it was awesome. Great way to spend my lunch break on a beautiful day.
The Best Cards to send someone who hates their job
This one is my favorite.
And this one accurately describes all of my phones calls I receive at work.
I am thankful that I live on the same planet as Bill Murray. This story is great and I love all his "people are never going to believe you" stories.
Mario Batali is in Memphis this weekend. I sort of now want to stalk him. If I did run into Mario Batali, what should I say? Let's think it over as we finish up our coffee today.
Happy Saturday!

I don't have much this week as I have cut down on my subscriptions and it seems to have been a slow week in general. Here's what I do have:
This article is worth the read on the internet and community. It's something I've been struggling with learning to balance for weeks now. I think the writer hits the nail on the head when she suggests instead of liking or comparing someone's perfect snapshot, take some time to communicate with someone and connect with them.
A dog catching chicken nuggets. I can't handle the faces.
This video:
Had me in tears. The artist sat at MOMA and allowed museum goers to sit across from her. An old lover sat across from her which was unplanned. The tension and energy kill me.
Hope you have a great weekend. We are going to visit one of the farmers markets (because now we have more than one open!) and do some yard work.
